Animal Information

At this point we only fatten pigs during the summer to ensure they are grown on pasture. Therefore we only have pork available from approx. Sept to Dec. We do not sell our pork by the piece but sell the pork by the whole, half or quarter.
If you are concerned about the quality of meat that you feed your family and are concerned about how the animal is raised then we have the answer. All our pork is raised humanely with no hormones or medicated feed. Not only does it taste so much better than a factory farm raised pig, you can have confidence in how the pigs was raised and that is it not full of medication or hormones. You are welcome and encouraged to visit the farm at any point during the growing season and see the pigs on our farm to see how they are raised and what we are feeding (appointment is necessary).
Amount of actual meat and example of cuts in a pork.

Our pigs typically dress out between 200-250 lbs. However the actual weight of the meat you get from this “dressed weight” is much less. A typical pig will produce approx. 70-75% of the dressed weight in actual meat. So for example a 200lb dressed weight pig will produce approx 140 to 150 lbs of actual meat.
