Hocks – 10.78 lbs (we typically put this into sausage unless buyer wanted the hocks)

Shoulder roasts – 13.38 lbs

Butt roasts – 16.3 lbs

Hams – 27.44 lbs (can be cut into roasts or steaks or combo of both)

Loin chops – 30.64 lbs

Bacon – 12.86 lbs

Ribs – 3.12 lbs

Sausage – 29.42 lbs (if hocks are made into sausage then there would be 40.2 lbs)

Total meat in this 200 lb dressed pig was 143.94 lbs

Depending on your choice of cut, different options are available to you. See below:

NOTE – the above weights for a quarter pork are approx. as it is difficult to split a half a pig into a quarter and make it equal. All of our pork is cut by a provincially inspected local butcher shop.

What we offer when you purchase our pork

  • All of our hams and ham steaks and bacon are smoked

  • The chops can be cut as butterfly chops (bone removed if desired)

  • All of the sausage is seasoned to a lovely maple flavour. If you are ordering a whole pork you can have your choice of maple, mid Italian or honey/garlic.

  • If you don’t wish to have your hams smoked the cost of smoking is removed from your invoice ($1.39 per lb based upon 2017 pricing)                 

  • Depending on your location, delivery of the meat may be possible

Our typical meat weight ranges are:

Whole pork – 140-160 lbs

Half pork – 70-80 lbs

Quarter pork – 35-40 lbs

Pricing - $6.00 per pound
